Partial restoration D25
Partial restoration of an F2L612
The following album shows some pictures of the partial restoration of an F2L612. The gearbox was completely dismantled. I designed and manufactured faster gear wheels. The gearbox was then sandblasted, painted and reassembled with new bearings. The entire electrical system was also renewed. The function of the indicator/brake light circuit was restored to its original state. Only original Bosch and Hella components were used for this. After an extensive test drive, the tractor was handed back to the owner!

Engine overhaul D30
Deutz 30 F2L912
Unfortunately, the engine from my Deutz D30 was no longer particularly good, so I decided to replace the F2L712 with an F2L912. The engine used previously ran in a compressor. Due to the wear and tear, I decided to completely overhaul it. I used original Deutz spare parts for this. The injection pump was in Cologne-Deutz for repair and adjustment. The engine now produces 32 hp at 2500 rpm.

Inductive shrinking
Shrinking of two workpieces
During shrink-fitting, two workpieces, such as a gear and shaft, are joined in a force-fit by utilising the thermal expansion of metal. The inner diameter increases when heated, making it easy to fit onto the shaft. When cooling down, the diameter decreases, creating the force-fit connection. This connection would not be possible at room temperature without considerable force and would result in damage to the connecting surfaces. In addition to the force-fit connection, a form-fit connection with a feather key is used. Example: With a component diameter of 50 mm, the interference fit is only 0.1 mm.
Step 1
The gear wheel is inductively heated to approx. 250°. This causes it to expand so that it can then be fitted without the need for force.
Step 2
The actual assembly is complete. The heated and expanded gear wheel has been pushed onto the cold shaft.
